hey all,my first visit and post, sorry if you've heard this question a
thousand times but what is the best way to
reduce a gut and tone those abs ? diet and exercise obviously, duh! :-) but
can anyone elaborate or refer me
to a program or anything that will really target my stomach and get rid of
the flab
and also does those gadgets/belts that claim to electronically stimulate
the abs acutally work ?

any advice will be appreciated :-)

Focus on diet. Move heavy objects in whatever form you like while taking in
fewer calories - one recommendation I've heard is try to create a 500
calorie/day deficit by eating 250 fewer calories and doing 250 calories
worth of exercise.

Oh, stay away from electronic ab gadgets. Crunch by lifting your shoulders
off the floor while also pressing your lower back into the floor - that'll
keep your abs busy for a while. :)

You will not lose your excess baggage on your stomach by simply doing
abs.....cardio is key. Losing weight off your stomach is often the
hardest place to lose it so cardio cardio cardio is a must. Eating
healthier and reducing your caloric intake for the day is a start
cause you are only going to lose wieght if you burn more than you take
in. Starting with some basic abs, such as something like 3 sets of 30
crunches, and 3 sets of 15 reverse curlups will be a good start. No
gadgets or belts.............they are just another way to waste your
money!

and raise you head and chest as far off the ground as you can ???
