The BO was released by his doctor to LIGHT duty at the barn, so he is
doing the grain and having the helpers move the horses in and out.
So, I was able to go back to my "normal" life this week (Tuesday is
late night/call for the animal hospital, Thursday is handbell
rehearsal - can you say 2 weeks last Thursday until Christmas Eve and
that was the FIRST TIME I had seen ANY of the music?, and Friday
regular day at the animal hospital when we close at 5 so I cannot
feed!)

Had that horrible snow, rain, sleet, WIND storm on Wednesday, so we
locked all the horses in the barn, except for Reason and Lance who
spent the day and the night in the indoor or we would have NO barn
standing the next day, trust me!!! Needless to say, no riding for me
that day! Then, when we finished Hippotherapy on Thursday, we had
MANY stalls and the indoor ring to clean, so no riding that day,
either! Now I am sick with the sore throat sniffly crap that my co-
workers at the animal hospital have been sharing for a few weeks!
Hope to hop on SOMETHING tomorrow, but may be a wuss and ride one of
the old steady-Eddies!!!

Um.
Canadian Public Health info about flus and stuff advise staying home
and away from people until the symptoms are gone. About a week.
All part of the H1N1 preventive thing.
With the BO just out of hospital (Yay, for you!), he'd be susceptible.
Don't spread the bugs! =8-}

Corinne,
You win the sort of psychic of the year award.

Went to the doctor today because the sore throat wasn't getting ANY
better and IMO was getting worse. First thing they did was a throat
culture to test for Strep (and can they test for H1N1 on that same
culture?) But after taking my history, the PA thinks it is probably
just the basic, boring generic seasonal flu! I have a cough (which is
normal for me often because of my asthma) a fever that comes and goes,
moderate body aches, and occasional chills. So, she says it is a mild
case of the flu or Strep throat.

HELL, if this is a mild case of the flu that has had me bedridden for
2 days, I don't EVER want the serious stuff!!!

(but Sienna and Chai have enjoyed having Mom home with them for the
last two days! There is just something SO comforting with a snuggling
kitty or two when you feel crummy and sick!)

No psychic ability needed, just reading your symptoms.

The flu kills people every year. It should always be taken seriously.
The H1N1 is being called a pandemic because of the sheer numbers ill,
not because it's Dire, Doom & Destruction And The End Of Civilization.
*That* bug hasn't appeared.
Yet.

Hah. Enjoy your good fortune!
My boy figures that if Mom is sick it means she's supposed to play
with him more. Not restful at all. :-/
