So I go out to get Lite and Belles for our evening trail ride, and Ms.
Moonlight has a huge fat eye. It's swollen shut, weepy. When I flip the
lids the slit of eyeball I can see looks clear, but then, mostly I see
inflamed inner eyelid anyhow.

Unhappy vet on the way--she has been out all last night and all of
today. We are throwing food on the grill and plan to offer to feed her
while she is here. :-(

Had an idiot horse years ago who, as far as we could determine, decided to
look down a yellow jacket hole to see what those little things zipping up
out of there were.

He looked like he had a small black cauiliflower on his upper eyelid for
about three years, which gradually faded away. Didn't bother him much,
after the initial swelling went down. Don't know if it could have been
removed, if the horses had needed to be loverly.
