I am replying over 10 years too late. I went to the same school as Sarah. I was an awkward kid and she was so kind to me. I knew she rode, but I had stopped riding and didn't know her wonderful skills until later in life. I, too, was shocked and sad to learn of her passing. She was also a wonderful photographer.

I knew Sarah when we were youths in Ohio. I've wanted to talk with anyone about her (especially who ever investigated her death), but never knew who to approach (her mother passed away a few years ago). Do you know anything about who to speak with in California?
