Myth:
Ecstasy research 'flawed'
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/1935369.stm
This myth grew from the widespread publicity given to some brain scans
showing a loss of serotonin transporter sites in the brains of some persons
who had taken Ecstasy. It is established beyond any doubt that the most
serious damage to the brain results from the excessive consumption of
alcohol.

It's like a stuck record. They think if a lie is repeated often enough it
will become the truth!

But, you know, it is my brain. Why shouldn't I be allowed to do whatever I
want with my brain???

If these government scientists what to find out what E does to you then why
don't they let me (and my friends) roll for awhile and then they can ask us
what is going on. If I could roll everyday for the rest of my life then I
would donate my brain! These animals they test on aren't giving their
permission to take so-called "dangerous drugs" and then have their brains
removed. Stop testing on animals and start testing on me!!!

If everyone took E then it would so much easier to get laid!!!
Right, and one joint turns your into a reefer addict.
You can sneeze and cause brain damage goober. Brain cell die every day
just like the cells in the rest of your body. Eating foods can kill
brain cells. The neat thing about it is that they grow back for
healthy people. Who ever wrote "Just One Night of Ecstasy May Damage
Brain", must be some nerdy loser with no life other that worrying
about other people having more fun then themselves!

The legal ones.
The illegal ones tend to be much safer. Or they would be if they weren't
sold via the black market.

"It was of some interest that cannabis tended to show a negative effect on
relative risk when other drug groups showed an increase. This phenomenon
has also been seen elsewhere [Terhune et al, 1992; Williams et al, 1985]."

What sort of school is sacramento.heald.edu ?
Don't you have to be able to write English there?

LaGuardia Commission Report, 1944
[Cannabis smoking] does not lead directly to mental or physical
deterioration... Those who have consumed marijuana for a period of years showed
no mental or physical deterioration which may be attributed to the drug.
...and??? So what?
Maybe my brain IS totally fried; maybe someone can explain this too me:
WHY is it anyone else's business WHAT we do to our brains and bodies? Why
are people so upset that we want to have a little fun? Either join in or
fuck off!
I have a friend who says "guns don't kill people, I do". But drugs DON'T
kill people. If you do drugs you take a chance. But YOU take the chance,
yourself. If I want to take a chance then you should have the right to
take that chance. I don't think people should get high (or roll or tweek
or whatever) and drive, or operate heavy machinery, or get pregnant, or
anything that is going to hurt other people. But if I want to roll at a
party or a rave or just at my own house, WHAT DIFFERENCE COULD IT POSSIBLY
MAKE TO ANYONE ELSE????
Lies like this about Ecstasy cause more harm than good. When know
bullshit when they see it - the stories about pot leading to harder
drugs and X causing palsy are among them.
Then, when they read something TRUE, like articles on the dangers of
huffing VOCs, they figure it's just more War on Drugs BS.
