Over at the "rec.woodworking" newsgroup is a fella that goes by the
signature JOAT (Jack Of All Trades) and he regularly posts sources of free
plans for all things woodworking that he finds cruising the net. Follow
some of his posts, or even search at deja with his name and you will come
up with all sorts of plans.

Hi
Looks like you are not getting replies so may I step in? I do not know of
any sites or groups.
I have found books at the library.
I sometimes go to ebay and do a search for "toys" or wooden toys/
antiques/ wood crafts/ trucks/ jeeps. Depends on what my kids want me to
build. When I find an interesting picture, I do a page edit function on my
browser. I then click on "save as" and it saves the pics to my hard drive.
I have the picture to look at while I create my own plans.
One good source is home handyman encyclopedias, popular mechanics
magazines from the 1940's. When world war two was going on, metal was hard
to find and there were not a lot of toys in the stores so a lot of
Christmas toys were built of wood in home shops. A lot of How To Do It
encyclopedias and magazines had complete plans for tanks, jeeps, carts,
doll furniture, airplanes, baby cradles, riding toys, etc.
I guess it depends on whether you are making toys to play with or toys to
put on the shelf and admirer them as crafts. I collect plans for toys to
be played with. I could give you names of books but all of mine are packed
from our move last month.
