This works (for me !) & tastes top quality !
Been experimenting with cheaper ways of making wine, of late,
after redundancy meant a lower income. I saw someone mention
( wine-making discussion board ) that you could *cheat* by
using those cheap bottles of fruit-squash concentrate, from the
supermarkets, instead of the regular (expensive) kits available at
homebrew shops.
They work fine & I've just tasted my BEST one yet.
Ingredients (5 gallon kit) : 3 kg Tate & Lyle white sugar, 1 kilo
fresh strawberries, 2 x 1 litre bottles of "strawberry Vimto" squash,
1 lemon.
I don't know if "strawberry Vimto" squash is available outside of the UK.
I'm guessing that everyone here is already smart enough to know
the procedure, given the ingredients above. However, if requested,
I will gladly post the instructions.
Merry Xmas & happy brewing folks ! :-)
btw. If anyone else has any good recipes, from concentrate mixtures,
I'd be glad to read about them. Cheers !
