Where can one mail order Gore-tex or are they still restricting supply?
Has anyone strong feelings about microfibre breathable fabrics as being
better than
Goretex like fabrics?
I know Goretex is stretched teflon that is then laminated to a fabric for
protection.
I believe the patent for Gore-tex has recently expired and hence the
recent? appearance
of Dermoflex? What I don't want is a coated fabric like the Entrant
fabric.

How about Ultrex? This is available from The Rainshed in 30 colors.
It is supposed to be waterproof and breathable. Does anyone know
how good it is?
Also, they have a waterproof, breathable stretch fabric (Darlexx).
Any experiences?

Along the same lines of those requesting Disney patterns, I'd like to
know if anyone has ever seen any cross-stitch patterns for the Cheshire
Cat, from Alice in Wonderland?
My husband works for a company called Cheshire Engineering (yes, named
after the cat), and any time I see something with a Cheshire cat on it,
I buy it for his office. I'd love to do a cross-stitch picture, and would
sure appreciate any leads! Thanks a lot!

Gore-Tex is available by mail from The Green Pepper in Eugene, Oregon. I
got their new catalog just the other day; they sell is for about $20/yd. I
don't have their address handy, but they advertise in Threads sometimes,
and the address might be in a FAQ.
