Sorry I goofed on the origional post.

I'm ready to try something new and sure could use some help.
I would like to try my hand at silk fabric painting. I have
done fabric painting, but I understand there is a different
technique for painting on silk. I am planning on buying
some how-to books, but with so many smart and talented people
out there, I thought you could help me with ideas and suggestions.
I thank you in advance.

Judi, I'm taking a silk painting class right now and it is a lot
of fun. We are using the Gutta resist method. An excellent book on
the subject is "Silk Painting: An Artist's Guide to Gutta & Wax
Resist Techniques" by Susan Louise Moyer. I've seen it listed for
$24.95. You'll probably also want to get a catalog from Rupert, Gibbon
& Spider, Inc. They have a complete line of silk dyes, prefinished
silk scarves, and all supplies you need. Their number is 800-442-0455.
Good luck!
