I tried to post this before, but it got messed up. Does anyone have
a source for cotton velveteen for use in Theorem Painting (painting
with stencils to create a complete picture). Apparently fabric stores don't
usually carry it because people don't use it to sew. I need a mail order or
a source near Lexington/Boston Mass.

Also, does anyone have a source for the stencils/directions for this type
of painting? I have a source in Syracuse, but I live3 in Massachusetts.

Thanks in advance
Gini

For cotton Velveteen try Testfabrics (200 Blackford Ave. P.O. Box 420
Middlesex, NJ, 08846 908-469-6446, fax 908-469-1147). They keep in
stock only white and navy blue (mostly sold to museum exhibition
designers), but it's untreated with the finishes you might find if you
bought it from an upholstery or decorator's supply house. They do mail
order.

(Note: I work as a consultant to this company, but not in sales.)
