I am looking for vendors that make extremely high end sweatshirts (i.e.,
best quality materials, rich colors, double stiching, double material in
high use areas etc...what you might get in a custom made shirt) and sells
them wholesale. There is a vendor Croft & Barrow that makes very high end
sweatshirts and puts nice embroideries on them, but they are a retail vendor
and I need wholesale. I am putting my own design onto the shirt.

What are some companies I should be looking at?

Here is an example of a Croft & Barrow sweatshirt on eBay, which gives some
idea of the quality of the material and workmanship:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Croft-Barrow-RoadHouse-Club-Sweatshirt-Size-Small-New-/221262223198?pt=US_Mens_Sweats_Hoodies&hash=item338441975e

I would be putting color transferred images and then embroideries on top of
that, so the end use would be something very similar to what Croft & Barrow
is doing.

That sweatshirt sells for $15.00, hardly high end IMHO. Macy's has
Armani, Locoste, Ralph Loren and Nike sweatshirts for up to $300.00
(!!!) and Kohl's has some for $85.00.

You might search for "embroidery blanks". I have had very good
service with shoppersrule.com. Not "wholesale" but very good
prices, and some items are open to bids:

First, I posted an EBAY ad. Surely you understand that a shirt's price on
eBay is NOT it's price in the retail market? Croft & Barrow sweatshirts
are normally around $50 at retail. That's competing against $20 commodity
products, not Ralph Lauren. You also understand that Ralph Lauren is
selling shirts that should retail for $60 based on quality for $300 based on
marketing. Anyone can take a product, spend $100 on marketing it, and get
three times the price it should really sell for. Quality is defined by the
material, the quality of the color dyes, and the quality of the stitching
and construction, not by the price tag.

I searched embroidery blank on that web site and did not find any
sweatshirts. I selected the category for embroidery wear and got the brands
below in sub categories.

Which of these brands sell embroidery blanks that you think are high
quality?

 Colorado Trading (8)
 Fruit Of The Loom (13)
 Gildan (29)
 Hanes (15)
 Jerzees (36)
 Comfort Colors (11)
 Redsand
 Badger (34)
 J America (65)
 Independent Trading Co (43)
 Champion (15)
 Bayside (16)

The link I provided
http://www.shoppersrule.com/c/Embroderywear2/index.html took you to
a page showing 116 sweatshirts, listing twelve different brands.
Each individual link contains a description as to weight, fiber
content, specifics about stitching, etc.

Surely you can do your own research.

I looked. Seemed all items were up for bid. I am also seeking a good source
for wholesale blanks. I do not consider high priced items up for bid a good
source. I am seeking sources that will sell in quantity at under $10 per sweat
shirt.

That is this week. They will change to a set price. I only offered
that site to the original poster because I have had excellent
products and service there.

You should check out originalfavorites.com. A completely different level of product than anything in the marketplace for high quality wholesale blanks. French terry or brushed cotton, heavyweight hoodies and crewnecks.

For blanks minimums are literally 1 piece. For custom printing, labeling, poly bags, hang tags, etc minimums are 150.

Pricing ranges from $23-$38 a piece depending on numbers and scope of work needed.

Hi Pete,

I am also looking for high end quality sweatshirts/hoodies... and i also want the style to be fitted. A good example of what am looking for is something like the Armani or Versace sweatshirts with my design in the middle. My initial order would be about 100 pcs.

PLEASE EMAIL ME ANY INFO

It would be worthwhile to check the heavyweight sweatshirts at http://www.sweatshirtsusa.com/mens-heavyweight-pullover-hooded-sweatshirt.html they make really good quality cotton sweatshirts that are Made in U.S.A. They are a full college style fit like the old Champion sweatshirts when they were good quality.

I think they are near Philly, i think they are union, everything made in USA. I ordered from there 2 times already and really like the comfort and quality. Plus if i can support the American economy i will.
