I have a friend who handcrafts etuis here in Maine, and she has a web
page at:
http://www.acadia.net/etui/
These are beautiful gifts, they come in a variety of colors and open
like a flower. Won't you please take a look?

I recommend everyone should look... they are beautiful! Lots of fabric
choices...

I second that recommendation! My MIL bought me a beautiful etui last
year for Christmas (1995). It came from The Etui Company in Maine (I
assume that is the same one mentioned below). The store that my MIL
bought it from is located here in Raleigh (The French Knot) and they
will have a booth at Silver Threads. Definitely if you have a stitcher
that's hard to buy for (or if you have someone you could give this idea
to for yourself) this is a great gift.

Hi, Wendi!
I saw from your post that you live in Raleigh. Do you belong to the
Capital Quilter's Guild? I'm in the process of starting up a CQG
Cyber-bee, if you're interested.
Sorry I had to post this to the NewsGroup, but I was unable to 'Reply to
Author' for some reason. (something I'm not doing right, I'm sure...)

P.S. Let me know when Silver Threads starts carrying the Etui - I'd love
to see one!

I just did! Gorgeous! I will look at all the rest of the webpage
later today. It's quite nice, BTW.

Of course, years ago, I wanted to make one for myself... never did.
Now, after seeing the webpage, I have that urge again. BUT, this time,
I will FORCE myself to ask for one for a birthday gift. <s>

Thanks,
Marny

I took a look---ordered one---and it came in less than a week.
It is beautiful and the work is worth every penny.
(no affli) just a happy customer
