Dina Pappas has two great books on the technique - Quick Watercolor
quilts an More Quick Watercolor quilts. You can see them at the
publishers web site http://www2.martingale-pub.com/ The books have
nice clear directions and a variety of projects - not just quilts but
placemats, vests etc...

I am sure you can get them from the usual on-line book or quilting shops
or maybe your local library has a copy.

This isn't a pattern, it's a technique. (and not my favorite :-) If you can
tell us which one you want, maybe somebody knows. Or do a google on
"watercolor".

Alot of times they are done with big florals. You buy gridded pellon
interfacing and cut 2 inch squares and fuse them onto the interfacing, then
you sew down, then across the rows. I haven't made one yet but am wanting
to real soon. check this out. Click on the heart.

Lorraine, thanks for the URL--very informative. I've been wanting to make a
watercolor quilt. I was thinking of making one for our king-sized bed, does
anyone see any problems in making one that large? I know I'd have to make it
in sections, but that would probably make it more managable, wouldn't it?
