I am so sorry for your loss, Jill. I know you will miss Jack
dreadfully.
And I know he was one of the lucky ones who know love and
compassion first-hand.
Sherry
I am so sorry about Jack. He was very special.

The group was here for me when I lost my QI/Therapy dog.
I'm here now, and if our new QI/Therapy puppy were able, he'd slurp
you a great big one full of his Fudgy goodness.
I understand the heart's confusion and the too soon loss all too well.
Perhaps Jack & Boomer are chasing squirrels together (even though
Boomer wouldn't have the slightest idea what to do with one after he
caught it... :-)

Jill, I absolutely do know what you mean. I'm more of a cat person than
dog person, but I've had a couple of great dogs. (Actually, it it
were entirely up to me, I'd probably have a few dogs AND cats!) Anyway,
the last dog, Corky, a lab-golden mix was hit by a car (the idiot didn't
even stop and let us know). I was so upset and angry. However, like
you, I had a revelation that Corky just wouldn't want me to feel that
way. It helped.
And I agree, the best way you can honor him is by giving another dog a home.
