I am a reasonably accomplished seamstress but have yet to venture into the world of quilting. I was recently inspired by a program on PBS about art quilting. Can someone recommend a good book, that is not too basic, for me to get started. Also, I saw a book on Art Nouveau Quilts in a shop when I was visiting Seattle but I can't find it on Amazon. Does anyone know of it and can give me the title?

I wish I could help you with your hunt for this book, but I dont know it. I will be watching this thread tho as Art Nouveau is one of my favorite flavors. Id never heard of anyone doing quilts in this style. Diana

I recommend Lorraine Torrnce, _Design Essentials: The Quilters Guide_ for a not too basic book to get you started with art quilting.
Is _Beautiful Quilts: Art Deco: Making Classic Quilts and Modern Variations by Jenni Dobson and Penny Brown the book you're thinking of?
