OT: Hand painted silk scarves

I just put my friend Hsiu's hand painted silk scarves on my yahoo site so
you can see them all. They are just amazing. Of course, they are better in
person. Not just because of the colors, but the sheen as well. I'll have to
scan the ones I own too, when I have more time. I love them! AND I get to
have all these in my house until I see her again! :D

Aren't they wonderful? She does sell them. You can email me privately for
info. She doesn't have a computer set up, so I said I would scan them in
for her to show our friends who don't live nearby.

I never wore scarves until she showed me these. I own 2 now.

You may want to go look again. I added 3 more scarves. One I gave my mom for
xmas, one Hsiu gave me (she gave it to me for letting her have some of the
stash I was clearing out - I was giving it away!) and the other I bought
this weekend.

I wish I had scanned the other two that passed thru here. I gave one of a
cardinal to MIL for xmas and my mom gave another bird painting to my aunt
for xmas.

The scarves are beautiful. I bought a batik silk scarf from a street market
a year ago and I usually don't wear scarves. I wear this one as a band
around the brim of my summer straw hat. It makes it look really fresh and
elegant.

Unfortunately, I don't own them all and have to return them. :( Just as
well. While I love to look at them all, I could never wear them all! They
would make a gorgeous wall collage tho, wouldn't they?

Oh, my. They're wonderful creations! I've studied Chinese brush painting, but not this medium . . . what glorious results. Can't wait to see yours! Love the CQ pics . . . and Merlin (who looks like a very wise kitty).
