Rotary blades best buy online

until there was a crisis. A year or so ago I bought some 'as good as' that
were truly dreadful. It also seems to me that Kate T told me about special
ones that were heaps better than others.
I looked to see which brand I find okay and they are Olfa. The
container warns that the blades are sharp. We hope so. Anybody love another
brand or know of a special online price?
Furthermore. I save my dull blades for the sweet little old ladies down
at the Methodist Church. They have some sort of sharpener and are tickled to
have them. I'm told some of them do not sew but sharpening blades is one
way they can be part of the quilt projects. That's a win/win.

recall some people have said they find they aren't in stock when they
are on sale, but I haven't had that issue. I haven't tried ordering
online with a coupon, but that might be worth a try. I think someone
mentioned that Hancocks of Paducah has them somewhere between the normal
and the Joanns with coupon price.

get them from Hancock's of Paducah. If I use Hancock's, several of us go
in together so that we meet their minimum and do not have to pay
shipping or sales tax. Have not bought them for a few years as I bought
a ton of them by myself last time.

Their pack looked exactly the same as the Olfa (yellow, plastic) pack;
but the blades themselves were nowhere near as good. I've had to bite
the bullet and just get them if I see them with a multi-buy or some
such.

Never received a confirmation. DOn't know if I have an order or not. I
sent an email to their webmaster. No response.
I think this is why somewhere in the back of my mind is a warning that
ordering blades before the supply runs low is necessary. THere are lots of
Olfa 45 blades on ebay but I have no clue which are sharpened old blades re
'factory' sealed and which are real. What a pain.
OTOH, it was a supremely happy day. I got to just wallow in the joys of
the 4 year-old mind. Her mama only gets to let me spend one day a year with
our precious little girl. I make the most of it. There's just nothing like
the clear honesty of the 4 year-old. Or the joy. I did fun things; scare
the pants off her mama some times. For one, after a few hours I took off my
hair piece and let her wear it. We painted toenails - one foot emerald
green, one pink. Punched a rising loaf of bread to see what it felt like
and what would happen. Watched frogs. I mean really, really watched. Who

The blades I told you about are made by Dritz. They are made of
Tunsten steel. They stay sharp a lot longer. Razor blades are made
from the same kind of steel. Olfa blades are made of stainless steel
as well as Fiskers blades. I buy the Dritz blades at Walmart. I am
also partial to Olfa if I can't get Dritz. The cost is similiar. I
tried the Fiskers and don't like them because they get very dull in no
time. If you can get to Biloxi there is a Hancock Fabric where you
can find Olfa blades. If you sign up for the preferred customer card
you will also get a monthly flyer. Quite often they have 40 percent
off on sewing notions. I picked up a 5 pak of Olfa blades just last
month with the 40 percent coupon.

The Gingher blades *should* be good, Taria, but I wouldn't count too
much on it. I bought a pair of Gingher small embroidery scissors not too
long ago that were the worst ones I've ever tried. :( I was really
disappointed, since I love my Ginghers shears (left-handed! <G>). I
suspect that Gingher, like most companies, has good products and
not-so-good, good days and not-so-good. :S

the new gingher rotary cutter and blades yet.

products are made in Asia & some are made in Germany. She said to only
purchase the scissors that are made in Germany, because the quality is far
superior. If you look at your scissors, it should say where they are made.

Thanks for that information, Pauline. I wish I could look at those
little embroidery scissors, but I was so disgusted with them that I
returned them and bought some absolutely *wonderful* Dovo ones -- same
design (stork), but much nicer feel and action. :)
