Jeanne,
I can't wait to try this out. I didn't find out about this type
of quilt until recently and love the look. I am hoping to find some
more books/information before trying one. Maybe even a class like
you...

Jinn,
I started a class on strip pieced watercolours this past
Saturday. I too wanted to make at least one of this style quilt.
Our next and final class is next Saturday. Our class was a
fabric swap so that everyone could have enough fabric strips (81)
to complete a quilt (small wallhanging). It is definitely
interesting and a new concept, however, will probably not make
another. I think I prefer traditional style quilts and want to
try some from the book "Traditions With a Twist" that I picked up
this weekend. Next class I want to try is a landscape class.
Keep trying all new things and wind up going back to traditional.

Page any of you in to the color wash quilts should check out.
Unfortuneatley I lost my bookmark for it so you will have to do a search
for it. Her quilts are stunning. She also lists places for classes and
sources.

I love these quilts too!! Regarding your interest in books on watercolour
quilts. The T.L.D. Design Center & Gallery, in Westmont, IL USA, is
currently featuring Deanna Spingola, author of just released book *WaterColor
Magic*. (Her show runs through June 22) The photos are marvelous & the
instructions for each quilt are very easy to follow. We have this book for

Would yawl like to join our watercolor fabric swap? 4 inch squares. You
know how much different fabric it takes! But only a smidgen of each.
Just finished a heart wall hanging done in this technique. It is really
fun and I'm anxious to start another. Jeanne, how did you do the spring
wreath - was it from a book or your own design?

Just finished a strip watercolor baby quilt using the method taught by
Deanna Spingola. I took the class offered at Quilter's Cotton Company in
Orland Park, IL.I found the fabric selection from light/light to dark/dark
sometimes easy and sometimes very hard to get the desired effect. Once
the fabric selection was over with, the construction of the quilt was very
easy following Deanna's instructions in her book called, Strip Pieced
