Someone recommended these pencils as a solution for marking dark/difficult
fabrics, but said she has trouble finding them. My local art supply store
sells a pack of 4 (purple, lime green, yellow, and .....red?) for $3.18.
Please e-mail me direct if you would like me to get some for you.

BTW, I picked up a light gray PASTEL pencil to try for marking dark fabrics
because I've never been happy with white or yellow "quilting" pencils. I will
try to remember to report back on my results (I don't know what the difference
is between chalk and pastel, but when I tested it on my sleeve it seemed to
come out easily enough).

I may be misinformed here, but if I'm not, I believe that pastels contain
oil? (So I wouldn't use them to mark a quilt.....) My DH bemoans the
difficulty of finding "chalk pastels" as opposed to "oil pastels."
Glenda (Blackboard chalk works pretty well...as does my Chacoliner.)
