Just saw the 2 day sale advert. in the paper today. 8 skeins of DMC
for $0.96, limit 40. I'll be there at 6am tomorrow!

We did! My sister and I went today (second there, first in check out line).
Only nine colors left for a complete set!

I got up late, and went to Joann's around noon. The quietest time of the
day, according to the staff, and bought 55 skeins of DMC, assuming the
cash register would mark regular price for the extra 15. Wrong, all rang up
at 12 cents!! Tempted to go back tomorrow (gr)

Tomorrow? We are going back now. Sister wants to exchange something, so she's
going to get another forty. We even took the ad to Michaels and they honored it
(which was great since a couple of colors were out at Jo Ann's).

Yep, I too discovered that the register was pricing them all at 12 cents only
after my 3rd trip there today. Oh, well, I finally ended up with enough to
give me a complete set, including the new colors.

I went to Joann's around 9:00 this morning. I was the only one in the
thread isle. I had a blast picking the threads for a bell pull that was
in the Needleworker - an apple tree branch that changes with the
seasons. I bought more than the 40 skeins and they were all priced the
same.

I, too, bought more than 40 (44) and they all rang up at the
12 cent sale price.

I don't know how I did it, but I skipped a color and bought
two of one, so I AM ONE COLOR SHORT OF HAVING THE WHOLE SET.

Now that's enough to make me sore at myself :) And do you
suppose it was my subconscious giving me a reason to go back
(as if I ever really needed a reason to go shopping in a
craft place)?

I know how you did it, because I've done it myself. Actually, you
probably didn't do it at all, but someone else put back some floss in
the wrong box, and you reached in and grabbed it without checking the
number. I've learned to look at all the numbers, especially in the
browns, because they're often mixed up.
