Hi all,

On a side note:
I've been lurking around here for a month or so and you
guys must be contagous. Before reading rctn, I had only
a few small kits and had just finished one. Now I've got
all kinds of kits and patterns and getting more each week.
What have you done to me??????

Any how back to the subject:
Just thought I'd let you all know about this site I found.
I've seen lots of requests for charts and stuff on rctn.
This may help out some folks. The web site iscalled
"Hard to Find Needlework Books" (http://www.needleworkbooks.com).
Someone had it listed on their web page, I don't remember
the site off hand (I found it on Yahoo).

Hard to Find Needlework Books has lots of stuff to look through
on all types of needle work. There isn't a search engine,
but the owner, Bette S. Feinstein, accepts search requests through
e-mail. I sent her e-mail with the title of the book and the next
day, she got back in touch with me.

I'd been looking for some Egyptian design books. I found a posting,
using DejaNews, that listed some books and stuff but most are
out of print. Among the books listed was "Egyptian Desgins in
Modern Stitchery" by Pauline Fisher. Ms. Feinstein has several
copies of this book if anyone is interested. I'll be getting mine
in about a week. I am so excited!!!!!

I'll second Lori's recommendation. If there's anything you've
been trying to find, look here. I recently tried to order
a book on Caribou skin coats from Lark Books and it had already
gone out of print before the catalog reached me (I guess they
didn't print that many!). I sent an email to Bette, received an
incredibly quick response and the book was in my hot little hands
in less than 2 weeks. YAY! I'll definitely shop Hard to Find
Needlework Books again.

Yes, we are contagious and it is permanent. I caught it two months ago
and don't want to get rid of it. This place is so much fun and I don't
even have to leave home. :>)
