Hello

Does anyone have any information about something called "The Stitchery
Catalogue"?

It was mentioned to me by a charming person from Vermillion Stitchery,
but I don't have a clue what this is (magazine, journal, trade
journal...)

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Claudia

Cutomer Service for the Stitchery is (800)688-8051. BE sure to ask for
Counted Cross Stitch from the Stitchery also!

Hi Claudia,

The Stitchery Catalog is a mail order source for cross stitch and
needlepoint kits, as well as a few needlework tools. Their customer
service number is (800)388-9662, but I don't think you can use that if
you're outside the US. They don't list a non-800 number, but their
address is The Stitchery, Dept. SPEE, 120 North Meadows Road, Medfield, MA
02052

Happy Stitching,

Dawn McCollum

Claudia,
The stitchery is a catalogue filled with beautiful x-stitch designs and
supplies. They have a website at
http://www.thestitchery.com . They also have an 800 number, 1-800-388-9662.
May life keep you in stitches,
Gerry

Does anyone have any information about something called "The Stitchery
Catalogue"?

Thanks

Claudia

kathy here,
i got the catalog from 'the stitchery', and found an item i've been
looking for and not found anywhere else. i was going to telephone order
it, and happened to notice the web page. so i tried it. i ordered the
item, and found that the shipping charges were almost $1.00 LESS, by
ordering it online, rather than 'over the land-line'! just FYI

re: the stitchery catalog - does anyone know where you can get the patterns
without buying the kits that stitchery sells? It seems a waste to me to buy the
kit if I have all that floss already.

If you have a shop nearby, I would ask if they have the item or can order it.
If not, you should visit the website for Norden Crafts and/or Hoffman's. They
are distributors of needlework books/leaflets. They have an online catalong,
which should be very helpful to you. They only do wholesale, but they will
direct you to a retailer.

Good Luck.

This thread reminds me of an incident that happened to me a few years ago.
I found a gorgeous angel (warning bells) in one of the catalogs, and took
it to my LNS asking if it was available as just a chart. It turned out to
be MLI's Angel of Spring <blush>. Not that I hadn't looked at her patterns
before that, I just didn't recognize them yet.

I have often taken various catalogs to my LNS and they have gotten what I
wanted for me. The Sudberry Spool pin cushion mentioned previously was the
latest. And the mouse pad things, a couple of years ago. Well, slight
correction... crosstitch, I have never had the LNS order needlepoint from
them.
I saw a few items I thought I wanted, but was in Michaels or somewhere like
that and saw that they were Bucilla kits. If you want those, wait for those
Sunday coupons and get them at reasonable prices for the quality.

This catalog is totally different from the other one... It stamped cross stitch with some very cute charts!
