After doing several days research, closely examining the original silk paintings saved by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller in Colonial Williamsburg here, getting the floor frame ready and the silks divided, I am plying needle to the linen seedcloth today. You know how that first stitch is scary!

The only thing far scarier than the first stitch is: having to abandon the work for a period, and then having to start in again. MUCH worse. I've been staring at a piece of embroidery for 2 weeks and can't get up the nerve. Dianne
