Shops near Lawrence Kansas

I will be visiting Lawrence Kansas and was wondering are there any good
LNS's near there or between there and Dallas, Texas?

Katherine, I am in the KCMO area. I understand that there IS a shop
in Lawrence. I have never been there but it is called Stitch on
Needlework and it is located at 926 Massachusettes and the phone is
785-842-1101. There is one in Topeka called Sunflower Seed (never
been there) and then one in Wakarusa, Rainbow on the Prairie, a great
one (I have been there). I have the addresses and numbers if you want

There is a shop called Heart's Desire in Wichita, and what my mom thinks
might be a crazy quilter's shop also (think fibers!), with "Attic" in
the name, but that is all I can remember. Also, a needlepoint shop has
opened in Andover, but I know nothing about it.

There is the shop in Wichta [3-4 hours down I-35 depending on the number of pit
stops] that our resident author will be visiting.
