I'm off on my travels again, and will be working in Stuttgart, Germany
for about a month. Can anyone recommend any good needlework shops?

Thanks,

Gill Brown,

Hello all - My DH visits Stuttgart frequently on business...I'd love to be
able to direct him to a needlework store to bring me home goodies!!!
Please e-mail if anyone knows of any good needlework stores in Heidelberg
or Stuttgart...

TIA,
Allyn

Following up my own post...

Since the only responses I've had about Needlework shops in Stuttgart
are others asking me to let them know too, I guess I will have to view
this whole trip as a mission on behalf of r.c.t.n. to establish whether
there are any shops there. (Are there really no on-line stitchers there?)

I'll report back some time in November!

If the MB stands for Mercedes-Benz, you may be right.
The Mercedes headquarter is in the surroundings of Stuttgart.
BMW is located in Bavaria, and I know they have one museum in Munich,
and I can't imagine they have a second one.

I'm interested, too.

The Zweigart Factory is in Sindelfingen
Here is the address
Zweigart & Sawitzki
Fronaecker Str. 50 (the "ae" stand for the German "a umlaut")
71063 Sindelfingen

They have beautiful cloths and towels with AIDA ribbon already woven in.

Hope that helps

The Zweigart's factory is in Sindelfingen, a city nearby Stuttgart.
But can any body tell where I can find kelim wool from MEZ or DMC for
Gobelin nearby Heidelberg? Or any adresses in England where I can do
mail-order?
