Hello,

A valuable reference came from one of the quilting groups I read:
http://judychicago.com/gdinner/

The artist addresses how women (& women in art) are left out of history.
Of course, the main index is one index higher- but I thought I'd specify
the project that uses needlepoint (& painted ceramics!) in order to stay
as on topic as possible.

Reminds me of some other threads you find around here occasionally. I've
come to recognize that my found interest in fibers & textiles is
quite related to
my identity as a woman (I know I am in company here!!). It's nice to see
an artist recognized for her work and accomplishments (that are somewhat) in
this area.

Peace, Happy Stitching, and Power!
:) Lauren
