I pondered the idea of going to London for courses at the Royal School of
Needlework, but my lovely partner got all huffy and protective at the
thought of me wandering half way around the world, so I thought I'd sneak up
on that one, and it seemed providential that this course fits in with my
plans! With the wonder of the internet, my flights, accommodation and
course were all booked in 10 minutes, and he has some 6 weeks to grow into
the idea that I'm off to the wild metropolis of Adelaide!
I might have forgotten to mention to dear partner that CB have a wonderful
shop full of needleworkers delights.

LOL - Going to the RSN for classes would be a dream come true kind of thing.
But, hey - looks like going to Adelaide will be a just fine substitute. I
have a cousin who lives near Adelaide - IIRC. Hmmm - that's an idea.....

Don't you think he'll figure it out? DH just expects it when I go to some
seminar or course. When we went to Lexington for the ANG seminar a few
years ago, he had a blast - and even wnet to a shop in town with me. I have
quite the picture of the ladies having him hold canvases for them...

Not a chance he will even think of it! I am usually a bobbin lace maker and
as such our stash is very very small (and very very expensive usually) thus
it is well under his radar, and I am well known for avoiding shops of all
descriptions (one of those being who hates shopping with a passion).
