"Stitch when you are young and poor, frame when you are old and rich."
- Elizabeth's (rctn'r) sister's MIL (Barbara Marr)
On the pieces I did (ornaments) that got no handling, I had no problem,
including the gold star (crochet) that I did about 12 years ago. Last
year I noticed it had darkened and was not as shiny.
Since I've never used any other metallic thread other than Guterman's -
which is a fine sewing thread - I cannot speak for what others will do.
I didn't use the metallics on anything that was going to be around for a
long time.
At the same time, I have worked experimentally with the new metallic
flosses and just despise them - both for their color "zing", their bulk,
and their ease of handling. Others may have a different opinion.
Have used Kreinik only on a limited basis.
Dianne
I will go with Kreinick over DMC anyday. I haven't tried the Petite Treasure
braids, but have heard they are wonderful....maybe next trip to LNS....

Fred said he hadn't seen anything from me since the 3d (that's 9 days worth),
so prepare to be inundated now that the floodgates have opened.
