Thanks for any help!
Now...on to stitching. I cannot believe that I have not put in a single
stitch in TWO DAYS! I haven't gone a single day without stitching for
months til now. Been moving my office and coming home exhausted and Brain
Dead :-)
SO glad it is over!

I have several Dimensions Gold kits also and the only thing I could ever find
out was that the floss is DMC and to convert the numbers you delete the number
at the beginning - 6 or 1, I can't recall this early (4am)

I bought the Santa Tree (ornamets hanging on a stick tree) kit (on sale!)
to do as a gift for my mom last year for Christmas. It still isn't done. I
found the floss to be of fairly poor quality, certinaly no better then the
regular kits. I found that it fraid a bit (the aida is 18 count). The
colors were a bit hard to tell apart too (lots of red!). I think for the
cost it maybe isn't worth it. Some of the Gold Collection kits are in chart
form (like Windswept Santa), so you may want to look around first).
Just a note, if you remove the first number of the color number listed on
the chart, you will get the J&P Coats floss number. Just convert that to
your own brand, and you can add your own. Of course, for the price of a
Gold Collection kit, it isn't really worth it. Unless you have to have the
design! :)

Elaine (Burnzy) e-mailed me a conversion list this morning for J&P & DMC.
Thank you again Elaine! I just LOVE this group! I even enjoy the cat
fighting <VBEG> (at least until it turns nasty...then NOT!) Reminds me of
the fights between me and my four sisters while growing up.
I have not as yet examined the floss included but do believe I will use my
own. Not a lover of separating all those colors. Although I did notice
that they have them in groups identified by a strand of yarn. Which I
believe would make it easier. They even included floss cards to organize
them. I don't like the color charts though! I understand why they are
used...but I would think the loss in the original sale would offset any
profits of sales due to lower trades and resales. JMHO :-)
