Ok. I know that you're out there and YOU know who you are. My question
is this:
Where do you shop for your supplies/stash? I'm in far eastern Queens
with not a LNS in sight. Forced to drive out to Nassau County to
nearest Michaels, or onto the internet.

Hi Charlie - heard of the Metrostitchers? We're a stitching group of
NY/NJ/etc. stitchers who get together frequently for shopping trips,
stitch-ins, etc. Places we go - Edwardian Needle, Country Store,
Where Victoria's Angels Stitch - in New Jersey; Needle Pulling Thread,
Thistle Needleworks, Wyndham Needleworks (weekends) in Connecticut.
Email if you want more Metrostitcher info! (I go to Staten Island for
Michaels and Jo Anns).

Hello! Yes, we're here! As a matter of fact, I live in Eastern Queens, as
well (Bellerose). There is a stitching group in the New York City area
called the MetroStitchers. If you're interested, let me know, and I'll hook
you up (I'm the mailing list owner)

We mostly shop for stash in NJ and CT or online like you. There's nothing
much in the city. Queens has a Rag Shop in College Point if you get
desperate for floss and aida. They're about as good as Michaels.
Occasionally, we try and get a bunch of stitchers together for a trip, New
Yorkers being more likely to be car-less. I tend to save my stash spending
until these trips or CATS.
