Has anyone had any problems with the delivery of orders from Herrschners
catalog? How do they usuallly get delivered, an are they in good condition?

I'm just a little worried that the shipping was supposed to be 7 days by
mail, and it's now 9 days and a whole lot of nothing... Called up customer
service to inquire, and they stated again, only 7 days.

I'm worried because I spent a ton of $$$$ and I'm about to beg my mailman
for news....

Thanks a bunch!!

Hello Cara,

When you called customer service did you have them check on the items you
ordered? I have always been told (ordered twice from them) that it would be
7 to 10 days before I received any in-stock merchandise. IF the merchandise
is not in stock then delivery time depends on when the items are received in
my Herrschners. I did wait last year for a tree skirt to come in .. it took
an additional 5 weeks till they could ship it out to me :( But it was well
worth it in the long run. I saved $25.00 of the suggested retail price.

They usually come in a big box, not always very well padded or protected but
in the two orders ... about 5 mailings because things were not in stock that
I ordered... everything has come in perfect condition. Some of the flower
threads were a little tangled but they get that way sitting on store shelves
too sometimes sooo :)

Good luck and you should be receiving your order any day now :) {crossing
paws for ya!}

I've ordered a lot from Herrschners and they do take a long time to
deliver, but I've always gotten my order. I started ordering from their
site, thinking it might be faster, but it didn't speed things up.

I ordered some rayon floss from them at the beginning of the year and it took
closer to a month for it to be delivered as opposed to the 7 days. It did come
and in good condition, just took a little longer than some of the other
catalgue places. I thought maybe it took awhile because I mailed my order in
with a check and that they were making sure the check cleared before they sent
out the order.

I ordered some rayon threads and wool from Herrschners here in Canada
just before Christmas. When it hadn't shown up by the end of January
and the order had been processed by VISA and was on the current bill,
I emailed them regarding it. They were very quick to email me back and
put a second shipment in the mail. The second shipment arrived within
three weeks. Wonder where the first went to?????
I had very good service from them but it did take longer than seven
days.

I have ordered from them several times and have had no major problems.
I didn't keep track of how long it took the order to get to me. I think
maybe 2-3 weeks. My last order had a couple of items on back order and
they said the expected shipping date of those are around March 10. And
I ordered online from them too, which I think is great. I am always
losing catalogs (except NN, I treat it like Gold). Happy stitching
everyone!

I order frequently from Herrschner's - I am always told at time of order
that it will take 7 to 10 working days. So, if you are counting
weekends, it might take longer than you expect. Never had any problem
with an order. In fact, after an item has been backordered they usually
provide some surprise, for instance - free shipping on your next order
or a small gift certificate. Hope this helps some.

I have ordered from them 3 times, but have received about 10 different
packages once you add in all the back ordered items they sent seperately. I
recently got a little postcard informing me that my 70-0117-0600 was on
Backorder No. 1349149 and did I want a refund? I can't for the life of me
figure out what the heck I'm missing out of that last order and I've gone
throught a whole stack of invoices. Another weird thing, the first thing to
arrive out of the last order, by several days, was my DMC Encyclopedia of
Needlework. When the rest of the order arrived a week or so later, it said
that the DMC book was on back order and would ship in 2-4 weeks. Weird. I
guess it's nice that they send out everything a soon as it's available,
rather than holding up your order over a single skein of floss, but I'd love
to know where the money is coming from to pay all the extra shipping.

I also have had no problems with in stock merchandise it all arrived
in 7 days and not damaged at all. As for not in stock I can't say
since I have only had one thing back ordered and I ordered it in
January. The good part is they sent two cards to me telling me when
they thought they would have it, so far it has been postponed twice but
at least I know it is still going to come eventually. :)

I have ordered from Herrschners many, many times and always have
received my merchandise. However, unless you go for the shipping
upgrade, they do use the slowest (surface or 4th class) form of
shipping, so sometimes it takes more than 7 days to come. Sometimes it
comes pretty fast. It is a post office issue more than a Herrschners
one, because they ship within 24 hours or so.

I would give them a few more days but I wouldn't panic too much.
Herrschners is a reputable company, in my experience. Been around a
long long time.

I ordered from them right before Christmas, and the item arrived in time for
Christmas (maybe 10 days?)
