Yesterday I noticed a post and I thought: what a wonderful group RCTN
is. Always there with a helping hand.

Hugs and best wishes to all of you.

To all my friends on rctn, the compliments of the season. I was over at
my son's last night, Christmas Eve, and will be with my daughter and
family tonight. The weather is cooperating. No precipitation today or
this evening, but a fairly sunstantial storm which will dump some 20 cms
of "global warming". Saturday looks liek a good day to do absolutely
nothing outside! Jim.

It`s due to dump on us around Wednesday - we had plenty last week, which has
now all gone. My son tried to get into work in Dover FOUR different ways -
all were steep hills most of which had been closed and had 3 hour traffic
jams. In the end they told him to give up and go home so he contented
himself with making sandwiches and delivering them to his wife at work so
she didn`t have to struggle home at lunchtime. He was on duty yesterday and
today - mostly dealing with drunk drivers and drunk and disorderlies!

Well, *we* got dumped upon! A record-setting 25.1" of snow (for a
single snowfall) and a mini-blizzard to boot. It started snowing
Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day the wind picked up and lasted
through Saturday. We managed to do all the holiday things but didn't
go anywhere on Sat. or Sun. I got tired of being cooped up so went
out yesterday and shoveled the 20-foot long drift off our driveway.
Not much, considering our driveway is about 100' long. It was
actually quite nice out by then...light breeze and probably 10degrees.
