Needlework Adventures
"Teddy" was so much fun to do. Really made me feel creative. I was
controlling the design, rather than it controlling me.
I have only two reference books: Weldon's and de Dillmont. Each has
differing viewpoints on how to do it. I combined them all.

your teddy is just a darling! He looks like a real one and asks for
cuddling and caressing!
The shading is done wonderfully!
I have been doing a branch of peach blossoms and a butterfly lately
for a magazine article -- embroidery with silks and needlepainting are
just "my thing" (as soo many others, too!)
May I propose flat silks for your butterfly?
Wether you do have access to the Japanese Flat silks or you take
Kreniik Silk Serica and untwist the strand in it's components --
TMO flat silk is the utmost beauty for embroidery ...
