.....since i'm begging for help.

as you prolly already guessed, my name is lissy and i'm a counted
cross-stitcher. first of all, it's a habit, not a hobby. if i don't get my
stitch fix, i'm a crabby girl. also, i can't spell worth a hill o' beans and
forget to spell check alot so apologies in advance.

i've actually known about your group for awhile but have avoided it out of
self preservation. i'm horrible and have my share of UFO's... most which i
tried to finish this year due to the stitching group i belong to challenge
of 2002: FINISH THOSE UFO's! i'm notorious for IOUs of wedding and baby
samplers (done in 2 years from date of wedding/birth guarantee).

i learned to stitch at my gramma ruth's knee... she started me on stamped
(ugh!) and i quickly moved myself to counted, never looked back. i've been
stitching for oh, 26 years. i dabble in design also, but never had the eye
for the shading of colors to try and make it doing that. i like to take
pre-conceived designs and remake them into new patterns.

i belong to the threadbearers of grays harbor in washington state. (anyone
in my area, check out the aberdeen library, we have a display up oct-nov,
lemme know if you want info about our meeting spot and time)

anyway, as my plea for help said, i'm getting married in may to the most
understanding guy (he lets me stitch! may be that he's playing everquest
while i'm stitching though) and am doing my own ring bearer's pillow, after
doing 2 of my co-workers pillows.

okay- i'm rambling.... i'll quit while i'm ahead, and catch y'all around the
cross-stitch shops!

Hi, Lissy, I like your name! Is it short for something? Welcome to
the group - sounds like you'll fit right in! Best wishes, Paula B.

Hi Lissy and Summer --

I'm in Washington state too, in Spokane. It's nice to hear where people are
from.
