I for myself ignore posts I don´t agree to and can say I found some
wonderful friends in this group, much help and support and I can´t wait to
meet the " Atlanta Bunch " soon.
Happy Stitching
Brigitte, the Needlewitch from Germany
To be fair to the regular posters, the group has been inundated by
numerous newbies, whose biggest desire seems to be to keep fanning the
flames. When one thread dies down, someone posts the same topic with a
new header, and it starts all over again.
May I suggest you skip some of the more contentious issues and follow
threads like "What was the latest chart you bought", etc. You will find
the newsgroup a pleasant place to visit if you ignore the obviously
antagonistic threads. There really are many helpful people here.
Now, please introduce yourself and tell us what you're working on, what
kind of stitching you like to do, etc.

We are a very interesting and friendly group, and I have gained valuable
stitching tips as well as many a good laugh here.
Come in, sit down, and share!

I won't be guilted into shutting up, either.
If you leave the group because of the annual copyright wars, it's your loss. I
happen to like hanging out in a group of intelligent women who can discuss
things like law to the point of dissecting it word by word.

Every online group has these people who have to tell you how terrible you are
before they leave. I always say, Good Riddance. Might sound callous, but what
would you think of a person who walked into a room full of your friends,
acquaintances, hung out in a corner and never said a word - and then announced
to the room that you were a bunch of losers as they stormed out the door?
Pretty silly when you look at it that way. I have stuck my head into hundreds
of online groups. I lurk for awhile to get a feel for the group - see if they
are discussing what I thought they would be discussing (for the most part<G>)
and then I either stick around and add my 2 cents here and there or I just
leave. Sometimes, I go back to see if things have changed. But I usually just
find another place to hang my hat.
