p4 This month's cover kit is a little bell pull with a pansy motif in
yellows and pinks. (design area: 11.4x4.1cm; kit includes bellpull
ends; more of these kits are available by mail order).

p6 News and giveaways: includes reviews of Lilliput Lane kits.
Giveaways include Lilliput Lane kits, Pillow Topper kits (a new way to
decorate cushions and Four Seasons in Cross Stitch books (see p50
below).

p8 Topiary tree: designed by Mary Stickley of Coleshill Collection. A
very pretty flower-laden tree (design area: 21x10.5 cm; 26 hpi linen,
some use of blending filament; all charts in black and white).

p12 Inspired by china: 3 lovely blue and gold teacups by Elaine
Cosier. Individual cups can be used to make smaller items (teapot
stand by Framecraft suggested). (design area: 12.7x36.3cm; 28 hpi
evenweave; some metallic thread used; kit available by mail order)

p18 The parasol: this is a charming picture of 2 children in
Edwardian dress seen from the back walking along a country lane with a
delightful dog and teddy bear. Designed by Faye Whittaker, part of her
All Our Yesterdays series for DMC. (design area: 18.5x17.6cm; 18hpi
aida).

p22 Owl watch; dramatic close up of a European eagle owl's face by
David Downing (a freelance artist and illustrator, inspired to convert
to x-stitch charts by his sister). (design area: 13.6x22.3 cm; 14hpi
aida; kit available by mail order).

p26 Cox's orange pippin: lovely botanical print design by Hilda
Martin, first of a series of 3 designs (next will be plums). (design
area: 17.8x11.7cm; 28hpi jobelan; flower threads; kit available).

p30 Painting in thread: an article on how landscape artist Bill
Makinson is inspiration behind Country Classics by Needlepoise of
Yorkshire.

p34 Classic collection: 6 greeting cards with flower posy motifs by
Anne E Wilson (design area: around 4.5x3in; 18hpi aida).

p40 Heralds of spring: spring sampler with chicks and daffodils,
designed by Elaine Cosier. Second in seasons sampler series (Winter
was in issue 26), Summer (issue 31) and Autumn (issue 33) will appear

p45 Nursery nostalgia: charts with historical nursery themes reviewed
including A mother's love by Carol Emmer and Grandma's quilt by Alice
Taylor.

p46 Pussy cat, pussy cat: illustrated nursery rhyme to stitch.
Designed by Lynn Carter, first of 3 nursery rhymes. Second will be
Grand Old Duke of York (issue 30) and Ten in the Bed (issue 31).

p50 Oscar and friends; one of Jayne Netley Mayhew's lovely cat and
