Hi there. The publisher that publishes my designs is holding a design shallenge and I asked if I
could post the information on this newsgroup and they said 'Why not, the more the merrier!'. So
for anyone that's interested, here goes (BTW, please forward any questions to the actual publisher
at ttrea...@hotmail.com, as I wouldn't want to mislead anyone with incorrect responses)

Chris

In search of something unique!

For the Spring/Summer 1999 releases we are putting together a stitch sampler - of sorts and we'd
like your help as a designer. Submit a stitched square - but it's not THAT simple! Only one
stitch and one fibre of one colour may be used. The most unique entries - looking at fabric,
fibre, stitch and design - will be compiling into one of the Textured Treasures releases. Winners
names will be published as contributors to the design and all entries selected for publication will
receive a copy of the pattern, and an assortment of fibres, embellishments and fabric to spur those
creative instincts.

Conditions: Submitted fabric size should be at least 5" x 5"
Design area is to be exactly 3" x 3"
Include the fabric name, colour and count with each submission
Fibres should be DMC, Anchor, Kreinik or Needle Necessities (any variety)
Reminder - use only 1 fibre per entry
Stitch name and a simple sketch/pattern of the design are also required
Deadline for entries - October 31, 1998
and of course, your particulars (Name, address, country, phone, e-mail)

Multiple submissions are encourages, but please mail each entry separately to Cheryl.

Good luck,
Karen

Hi, Chris,

If you don't mind keeping track, I would be very interested to know how
many responses you get from people who email you about this instead of
sending their replies to the correct address given in your posting. I've
noticed so many odd quirks in my own daily behavior that I've become a
close student of other people's, too! :-)

TIA,
Nan
