help with silk painting

hello, I'm new to this group
I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice about silk
painting. I'm teaching myself and having a few problems. I,m trying to paint
a long striped scarf. I used diffusing medium between the stripes and it was
looking well but the next time I looked the colours had all run along the
edges of the scarf creating a mess.Any ideas how to solve this please? Are
there any good sites or groups for silk painting? Carol

You need to use a product called: Stop-Flow. Apply BEFORE dyeing and allow to
dry.

This will STOP any dye from crossing over that line.
Dharma Trading does carry it. 8oz is $4.50
Washes out with soap and water too...
