Hi everyone! I just had to tell everyone about our night out last night.
We took our 5 year old daughter to see The Wiggles Live Concert they had at
the local auditorium and it was so much fun! My husband and I both laughed
and had a great time as much as our daughter. I will post pictures today to
share!

Hi Jennifer,
I wanted to take my DS to see them but they wanted $60 each ticket. I
thought that was waaaaaaaaaay to high for the Wiggles. Where do you live?
What was the local auditorium they were having the concert at?
They were playing at Madison Square Garden here in NY.

TIA,
Dorothy in NY

$60????? That is ridiculous! We paid $16 a piece. We live in Greenville,
SC. We went to the BiLo Center to see them. Greg, the yellow Wiggle wasn't
there because he was having a double hernia operation so another guy stood
in for him named Sam. He did a great job although I would have loved to
have heard Greg singing. I have posted the pictures in my webshots album if
you'd like to look at them.

Beauty, mate! :-)

We were introduced to the Wiggles several years ago by my husband's
parents, when they stayed with us just after Maya was born. They'd just
come from staying at my brother-in-law's home for several months in
Sydney, Australia, and they would sing "Wiggles" songs to Maya, the
Wiggles being a group of guys who played music for kids around the
city--I had never heard of 'em. After the in-laws left, I happened to be
shopping at Walmart one day and saw a video of 4 silly looking guys on
a shelf and looked at it, wondering if this was the group they'd been
talking about. Checked the songs and sure enough, they were the same
the grandparents were singing to Maya, so I bought it, it was only $2.
The video was very amateurish, but Maya just loved it. :-) I swear we
must have seen that tape over a thousand times (or maybe it just seemed
like that much). Ever go to bed with a Wiggles song stuck in your head??
It ain't pretty. :-)

Anyway, when Maya was almost 18 months old, the Wiggles went on their
first U.S. tour, and came to Sacramento, not far from where we lived.
I got us some tickets and made DH go with us (him grumbling the whole
time about 'it's for kids!' and 'I'm gonna be Soo bored!')--our tickets
were ONLY $15 each--no service charges, nothing! And was in some old
auditorium there in Sacramento (which is not a 'big' city, despite being
the state's capital). Can I just say that not only did Maya have a great
time, but DH had more fun than all of us put together! :-)

What was really REALLY cool, was that, during one of the songs, members
of the group went out INTO the audience and shook hands with people, and
we got to meet Murray up close and personal! DH was just beside himself,
although Maya had this puzzled look on her face like she was trying to
figure out how this little guy on the tv show had gotten out of the tv,
LOL. :-)

Glad you had a great time. We still love the Wiggles to this day, and
have almost all their tapes...we'd love to go to see them again, but
sadly, like someone else pointed out, now it would cost us each about
$60 a ticket! And that's a bunch of money to spend on a 45-min to hour
long show!! A great show, but there's no way we're spending that much,
especially since we saw them before they were famous. :-)

My personal favorite is Captain Feathersword. My husband thinks I have
a crush on him. I think there's just something sexy about a guy wearing
feathers, LOL. ;-)

Alot of the guys at work seem to like them. They were here a couple of
months ago and the guys said they took their kids and would go back. Though
I think they had alot more fun than their kids! LOL
