medium to use?

Is it pass'e to taut Marvy Markers or Tombow? These are brush tip markers that
most stampers use - especially in the beginning - along with their stamp pads to
color their stamped images. I still use my trusty dusty Marvy Markers (made by
Uchida) along with watercolor, watercolor pencil, or putting the markers' ink on
a smooth surface (a dish or plate) and using a damp watercolor brush. It keeps
the colors consistent.

I know many will find this wacky...but, the other night while playing
around I decided to whip out my Prang crayons. I really like the crayoned
look. I'd like feedback on your opinion of crayoning. Thanks!

I've used brush markers and chalk. The chalk gives a great "mist" effect. And,
the markers are bright and cheerful.

I use Marvy Markers and Prang colored pencils as well as my sons Crayola
colored pencils ( the colors are beautiful!). I also use Staedtler watercolor
pencils and Ambrite colored chalks,( for stenciling).

I mostly use markers (Marvy or Tombow) but I apply them with a paint brush.
Simply paint the marker onto a styrofoam tray (the kind meat comes on from the
grocery store). I then dip my watercolour brush into an extender medium (can get
it with the acrylic paints at any craft store) and then roll the brush around in
the colour on the tray. I always test it on scrap to see if I like the look of
the colour. If it's too dark, I go back into the extender medium, too light,
back into the colour. You can also just use water instead of the extender medium
but it "waters" down your colours so if you want them looking vibrant, use the
extender. You can also paint on more than one coat to get the desired colour or
shading effects.

Hi all, I use a similar method to the one posted below. I use my markers on
a piece of plastic, or a paint palette, then use my blender pen to pick up
color and blend them onto the paper. It is an awesome effect, shown to me
by a local storeowner.

I use a combination of markers (I prefer Tombow) and pencils. I get
surprizing depth of color and shading this way and it is very easy.

Hi I have just started using my Le Plumes and a blender pen and I am loving the
effect I get. The technique I have started to use is I take the pen and
scribble on a piece of plastic and then dip the blender pen into that colour, I
then color onto my prestamped image, dipping the blender back in to the
scribbled color as needed (I usually stamp image in black or brown permanent
ink) it gives me soft colours that I could never get before using the markers.
Another friend of mine uses the blender pen with her water colour pencils for a
very interesting look, I will be trying that as well very soon.

Any other ideas on what everyone else is doing is appreciated.
