I received my new "That Patchwork Place" catalog the other day and noticed
a new watercolor quilt book. It's called Colourwash Quilting or something
and appears to be by the British woman who started the whole thing. Does
anyone have this book? Is it worth getting? Any comments welcomed.

If it's by Deirdre Amsden, then yes, she is the woman who started
the whole thing. I love her quilts, they are much more sophisticated
than the Watercolor quilts everyone is making. But I don't think her
book is written so much as a step-by-step guide to making this type
of quilt, so if you are hoping to use it instead of taking a class,
you may not get what you want. Deirdre has been making quilts like
this for years and years, winning awards, but I think this may be
the first book she has published, altho I've seen her work in other
books.
