Does anyone know of any internet sites that have patterns for folk art
painting or tole painting project?

in tole painting (no parenthesis or quotes needed) under SEARCH
ENGINES choose manual click on each of the 6 engines and
select 'with summary' under SHOW RESULTS ----you can bookmark this URL
and you can bookmark the results. You can use PROFUSION to search on
just about anything.

Try http:/www.tolenet.com There are links to many sites from there
but this site is full of lots of information and is a link to joining
a really great mailing list for tole painters of all skill levels.
Some of the links have free patterns online too! I hope this helps.
