A T3 tax has the advantage that should be attractive to both global warming
skeptics and those who fear Climageddon: If temperatures remain low, as skeptics
believe, the tax will stay low. If temperatures rise sharply, the tax will rise
also, and incentives will grow to decarbonize energy systems around the world.
Carbon taxes are a vastly superior policy option when compared either to
cap-and-trade, or command-and-control regulation. Indexing the tax to the
temperature of the atmosphere that shows anthropogenic change most clearly is
only common sense. Mr. McKitrick suggests starting out small with something
politically innocuous, on the order of 10 to15 cents per ton of carbon dioxide
emitted.

Only, if more GHGs cool the atmosphere more,
reducing CO2 emissions might make it warmer. :-)
GreenHouse Gases are the only thing that cools
the atmosphere, so maybe more GHGs would cool
the atmosphere more.
Is there any scientist stupid enough to disagree
with my claim that GreenHouse Gases are the only
thing that cools the atmosphere?
green house gasses transfer energy.
As usual, the denialist just makes some shit up.

So, it seems, are KENNETH P. GREEN & Ross_McKitrick.
Taxing the heat.
Great idea, right? After all the time McKitrick
spent denying it existed.
Then wait several thousand years for the ever-increasing heat to decide
it does not want to pay the taxes ....

The above statement is as stupid as a June day is long
You and your Canadian economist have never considered that warming or
cooling could be anything other than man-made.
So you tax is absurd.
I posted to demonstrate what seems like utter idiocy from
someone (2, actually) that should have known better.

Like magical fairy dust?
What?
Winger hot air?
>So you tax is absurd.
Not my tax.
McKitrick is a denier & a winger it seems.
You really have not the slightest clue what any of this is about, do you?

Which is it tropical tropospheric temperature or
global average temperature? Greenhouse gas
theory and measurements over the last century
say that the topics warm slower than the poles.
Please see:

Aha, then you would agree that those that say greenhouse gases trap
energy are either mistaken or dishonest. Right?
Answer the question.
He said "Tropical" so that's probably another intentional effort to
obscure things & add red herrings from the deniers & wingers.
Good catch; I'd missed that.
As the whole concept was so stupid.

Interesting.
You and your Canadian economist.

Like exactly 100% of climate change prior to the present era.
