Looks like the Midwest will have a larger variety of crops to choose
from.
Right! Longer growing seasons for northern farmers! Thanks to the
original poster for bringing us this very good news!
Maybe it's not such good news. There's a lot of bad science going on
here.
Cliff should know better, the Arbor Society should know better, and
the USDA should know better.
The USDA climate zones are based on the minimum average temperature
over what period of time?
NWS settled on 30 year moving averages. The USDA seems to have no
standard.
Furthermore, allowing the Arbor Society to run what appears to be one
year "averages" and displaying it as if it were a USDA map series is
disingenuous.
Folks, this is NOT science, and Cliff, you continue to do a disservice
to the readers of these news groups.
From Wikipedia:
The USDA first issued its standardized hardiness zone map in 1960, and
revised it in 1965. A new map was issued in 1990, based on U.S. and
Canadian data from 1974 through 1986 (and 1971-1984 for Mexico). While
the 1990-issue map utilized approximately double the number of
stations, it also divided the temperature zones into five-degree a/b
zones for greater accuracy.
(***)This revised map showed many areas to be suddenly colder than the
1960 map, due largely to a number of severely colder winters in the
central and eastern U.S. in the 1974-1986 data-gathering period as
opposed to the mid-20th century data-sampling period used in the 1960
map.
The 1990 map shows 10 different zones, each of which represents an
area of winter hardiness for the plants of agriculture and our natural
landscape. This was revised to introduce zone 11, representing areas
that have average annual minimum temperatures above 40°F (4.4°C) and
that are therefore essentially frost-free
Are you inferring that Global Warming Dupes would use DISHONEST and
"Cooked" scientific "Facts" to mislead us? Please say it isn't so.
So.
Here's another one...

The Arbor Day Society needs to publish the new "cooperative" stations
on this change map.
In the last 30 years the orange/Citrus crop has moved more south-east in
Florida to get out of the freeze that kills the fruit trees. There was
huge groves in Orlando and now they are gone.
Look up the 1986-1989 freezes that killed entire groves.
Your idea of warming is not panning out.

Not BS - Advanced degrees.
Some of these people tried to prove a point.
Tell me how heat bands extend from the south west to the north east.
Weather doesn't go that way - wind, fronts or otherwise.
There are to many missing data where no change occurred .
One would expect a similar zone that is simply deeper in the center
of the country than before.
I don't think you looked at that drawing.

Usaully just damages the orange crop & oranges become expensive

But ask yourself: What is forcing that cold air South?
An excess of overly warm upper altitude air from the South
going polewards to cool off & sink?

You mean that is gets colder, instead of warmer? Odd that, that would
happen amidst the Global Warming?
The planet is Warmer everywhere except Orlando? How does that work,
can you explain it to me?
Call me a skeptic but, you'll need to prove that the Globe is actually
warmer and then you need to show that I have caused it, before you can
pass a law against it.
So we really have... temperature redistribution and not Global Warming?

They will probably grow there again in years to come.
And so far it's probably just damage to the oranges.

Governments have used billions of dollars of our money to
fund fraudulent science, which, in turn, is used to justify
policy that would steal untold billions more from us
through taxation and the handicapping of the private

Never at a loss for words when it comes to exaggerating his own
importance and accomplishments, Obama shoved the naked
truth into submission and declared Victory

Obama, the laughingstock
Is our President, and America itself, becoming laughingstock of
the world to be ignored and dismissed, if not ridiculed,
as Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro have?
The world has taken measure of the man and he has fallen short.
Chavez calls Obama "the devil" and that,
using his favorite way to describe the odor
of American President, he smells of sulfur.
Even Fidel Castro mocks him .fgfgq1

Obama the Lightworker and the War in Afghanistan
Alas, how have the mighty fallen! The Angel Barack has
gone the way of his hero's hero, Lucifer, the Angel of

Faireyworker Heaven to the lowest circles
of Darkness. The sight is absolutely
Miltonian, a tragedy for all except for a f

Thank you for taking care of your fellow man without calling on
Congress to create another entitlement program.
Your guy was supposed to bring the troops home.
Both of our guys were supposed to protect us and our borders. Yeh,
lets dump everyone and start over.
The excuse is that I directly fund such things and then I indirectly
fund the same sort of things through taxes.
And it never seems to be enough.
Is there a solution?
you are welcome, but it was the head start adopt a family program, so
you might need to rethink your reply.
thats some seriously bad logic, for instance President Obama, is just
as much my president as George Bush was when he held the office (even
though one was elected, and one needed a decision from the supreme
court). So why do you think different?
You mean that you dont see a large enough effect from your donations.
So maybe your efforts should also include local charities, for
instance i was quite pleased to hear the stories of how the family
members from our "adopted family" smiled upon delivery of christmas
gifts. My suggestion to you is that maybe you should not think about
attempting to solve poverty in the U.S. with your donations alone,
just as much as you wouldnt expect your personal funds to create/
sustain all the infrastructure for a thriving economy. But instead
maybe you should concentrate on helping a family or families that are
in need, and nearby to you such as the local adopt a head start family
program did for my family this christmas. Now for efforts on a larger
scale i would suggest you research your charities as to ensure your
donations are being properly used, for their intended purposes. And
on the same note, if you want to place tax dollars spent on our
societies safety net on some sort of metric "of effectivness" based on
how you feel, one would hope you are being objective and you would
include tax dollars for DOD/DHS programs to that same test.
So why did Obama need the Supreme Court? What was the decision?
Oh..btw...in less than 2 yrs..the People will rise up and murder all
the Leftwingers.
Shrug...wont be a pretty thing..but it will pretty much end the Leftwing
who has largely ruined the Constitution and the nation.
Hope you find a place to move to. Cuba will be packed..shrug

"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the
means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not
making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of
it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different
countries, that the more public provisions were made for the
poor the less they provided for themselves, and of course became
poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the
more they did for themselves, and became richer." -- Benjamin
Franklin, /The Encouragement of Idleness/, 1766

So which south american nation are they wetbacks from...and yet you
decided to make their felony stay in the Unitas Estadas easier while
they suck up welfare and other free goodies that have largely bankrupted
the nation?
spews the leftwing extremist fringe kook in muddled anger...
Send them to Haiti.

Greed is the root of all eBay.
You know..thats not a bad idea. Afterall...what touchy-feely Leftwing
Extremist wouldnt jump...jump at the chance to help his fellow man?
Since the Leftwingers now control Amerika, both Presidentially and
Congressionally...one would assume that they would pack up their goodies
and their helping hands to help those in far far greater need then their
own already Leftwing nation, no?
Since the Haitians have lost about a half million of their own
people...lets pack up Al Sharpton & Co as the advance men, and then
start shipping over another half million Far Leftwing Extremists to fill
in the void...hummm lets make that 3/4 million...pushy white people who
have no defense against machete laden thugs might have a moderatly poor
survival rate..but hey...one cant make an omlet without breaking a few
eggs. Shucks..Ill even kick in $100 for their barge travel fees. And
if they take a few illegal aliens with them as "labor"..it would be even
a better thing.
Can we pick the Leftwingers though? Since us Conservatives are known as
having no heart and compassion, but are very logical, Im sure we could
do a marvelous job of putting all those social workers, community
organizers and so forth, in the right slots, doncha think?
yeah i crush trolls like you as well, and yeah im angry the chargers
just lost. So if you want to step up, and pick up where IM left off
lets, go, but dont thinky your reactionary name calling means anything
to anybody outside of your little peanut gallery.

Sorry fuckwit..but Im not Obama <VBG> or a Leftwinger. Seems that they
have given a couple trillion bucks to the "wealth and corporate class"
in the last yrs..and I didnt send another 30,000 troops into combat.

ROFLMAO...if Im a stupid fuckwit..what does one call you, the person who
claims Obama DIDNt give out a couple trillion dollars to the "wealth and
corporate class" and didnt send another 30,000 troops into harms way.
Utterly retarded dumbfuck? Hummm...Ill work up something even more
accurate to call you. Ill get back to you on it.

Odd...have you run out of medication again? Seems your mental illness is
popping up its utterly pitiful symptoms again.
Pity about that.
DOD/DHS are directly related to the good use of federal taxes as
authorized by the Constitution.
I donate to a local people charity and to an international people
charity. Hell, Curly is probably a recipient of the international
charity.
I think Curly is from Argentina. They're probably due for another
revolution any day now.
That does not allow you to excuse one metric for one, and one for the
other just because you dont like the program. Your constitutional
argument does not hold well for at all.
Am I still stalking the cockroach?

That's right. So my taxes presently pay for all kinds of things not

Not presently. We're working on it, though.
so once again, people like you dont want to admit that the private
sector cannot provide an adequate social safety net. So unless you
start to create exceptions to your argument, you are going down a
pretty pathetic path
Start with the community organizers, followed by ACORN and pizza
delivery types. By then we can round up the welfare queens and brain
dead. Soon, they won't know they are in a different slum.
The third Tuesday of every month?
<armpitfart.wav> to the Leftwing Fringe Kook Extremist
Laugh laugh laugh
In less than 2 yrs the People will toss you into a mass grave and we
wont have to read your buffoonery.

oh man, bring it on you pathetic whining idiot.
Me? I dont even know where you live. But..shrug...others do. And since
you are such a Leftwing Extremist on Usenet, Im sure you have been
tagged and marked for the Great Cull. In fact..Im sure of it.
Its gonna be a happy day when they drag you out of your house and hang
you by the neck until you shit your pants and die, from the nearest
lamp post.
I hope they use barbed wire for the noose.

Happy days are here again.....!!!
So once again, people like you dont want to admit that the public
sector cannot provide an adequate social safety net and must create
exceptions to your argument in a vain hope of anyone believing you.
Pitiful..downright pitiful.
Pathetic actuallly.
Shrug
you need to say that same thing when you are faced with the realities
of society, governmnet etc...
Son...I just faced the realities. That emergency triple bypass and that
pesky stroke 2 months later gave me some indication......
Was there any other further buffoonery that you wish to display or
utter?
If not, you may leave.
Dude, sorry about the surgery, i had a friend go through bypass
surgery over summer time. And i am currently caring for my mother who
is about to have open heart surgery as well. So i understand your
trials, and im glad you are healing, and im glad you have control well
enough to type. But such events do not provide a excuse for you to
cling to your ignorance, thats just lame. So once again, people like
you dont want to admit that the public sector cannot provide an
adequate social safety net and must create exceptions to your argument.
No. That is the regularity of their coups. Reveolutions are about
every other year.
Apparently I just don't understand you. What social safety net is
mandated by the Constitution?
What exceptions are you referring to?
What was the population of the U.S. when the constitution was written,
and how many times has it been amended since its creation? Such
constitutional frame work was set in place to assist future
generations make decisions, as the founding fathers did not attempt to
solve all future social issues, they gave us the power to do so. Now
does the constitution forbid the use of tax dollare to create a social
safety net, nope.
At the time the Constitution was written people were streaming across
the border to dig in the dirt and plant seeds, and practice their own
version of Christianity. Today they are streaming across the border
to get food stamps.

Fair enough.

Show me where it is allowed at the present time.
wow, thats funny, i see people first or second generation here working
hard, and partaking in our economy, i see them every day, they are my
neighbors. So i am supposed to show you were creation of a social
safety net is allowed at the present time, that’s cool. You should
read about the supreme courts decision on United States v. Butler, 297
U.S. 1 (1936), and how that ruling declared congressional powers are
not limited to direct grants in the constitution.
Noted..

In two years time, you and your fellow insurgents will still be
whimpering your impotent death-threats and/or sitting in prison..
--Talking about a "climate zone change".. *>chuckling<*
Like I said, show where in the Constitution your social safety net is
allowed or mandated.
Show where the Constitution does not limit the power of the Fed and
reserve it for the people and/or for the states.
Gunner, you gotta stop saying shit like that. They're afraid of
conservatives already, what with Palin poised to be our next President
and all. Fer crying out loud, she hunts wolves from a helicopter and
gives birth to live human babies. If their fear becomes unmanageable,
they will likely begin crying for Obama to declare martial law,
suspend elections and forbid travel after 8pm.
Yeah, you both could wind up in prison, or a FEMA detention
camp that your little buddies W. Bush and D. Cheney built..
> They're afraid of conservatives already, what with Palin poised
Afraid of conservatives? Mascara Palin "poised"? *>LOL!<*
--You're again testing the limits of absurdity today..
i showed you the case was made in 1936, by same branch of government
who decided a presidential election, you remember the judicial branch,
it was set up in our constitution.
At least 'something' is regular! ;-)
