This week's CPAC (Conservative Political Action Convention) will include nearly
every conservative leader including but not limited to former Vice President
Dick Cheney, former Governor Mitt Romner, Governor Tim Pawlenty, Rush Limbaugh,
and Glenn Beck. However it will curiously not include Sarah Palin who is the
person most identified with the conservative movement at this time.
POLITICO is reporting that Palin is upset with the organizer of the event and
therefore refusing to attend. Specifically Palin is upset with David Keene of
the American Conservative Union (ACU) for allegedly demanding a $2 million
dollar fee from FedEx to support their legislative agenda. FedEx was engaged in
a legislative battle with UPS at the time and the ACU reportedly was willing to
sell their support to the highest bidder between the two companies. A source
close to Palin told POLITICO that this was an example of "pocketbook over
policy" and that she was taking a stance against it.

to charge a $100,000 speaking fee to attend the Tea Party convention.

Yes becuase anyone who accepts speaking fees for any amount to speak to any
group is a horrible human being that should immediately be killed.
