Well, there sure the hell aren't any jobs being created in Blue State
O'boovervilles.

Those jobs weren't "created".....they were re-located in exploit of cheap
labor.

Prostitutes might be less expensive on the other side of the tracks but IMO
that's really not something to be proud of.

the red states are creating more poor people is what they're doing. The
jobs that people are getting hired for in those states are all non union
so the pay and the benefits are the lowest you can find. So you get the
situation where people have jobs but they are still poor people. It's
like the Walmart workers that are paid so badly that they qualify for
government assistance even when they are fully employed. And the red
states are creating more of these jobs all the time. I wonder how come
Gummer isn't relocating? He could move to Texas and get a job and still
be just as poor as he is now except if he needed more medical care in
Texas they'd just say no.

I guess Hammy does too, just as I do. I consider it an honor, in
return for Gunner's heroic service to his country. I would be just as
happy if we paid Hammy's bills too, should the need present itself.
You other libtards, not so much.

Where did you get that idea? From Gunner, the guy who claims he enlisted
under a name he picked off of a headstone, which is why he has no discharge
papers and can't get VA medical benefits now?

I've twice explained to him how he can get his local VA office to correct
his record and stop sucking at the hospital/county/state/federal medical
teat for deadbeats. It's something for which they have a regular procedure.
I even got him the phone number of his local office to get it started, after
I spent some time talking to a VA official in Washington about how to do it.

And you believe his b.s.? Hahahohoho...you must be one gullible fishhole,
Benny.

You have to pay it all, sucker. That's because we don't have universal
healthcare, which would, if it was run like they run it in the better
European countries (like Switzerland) slash the hit on your taxes, simplify
the whole procedure, and keep people out of emergency rooms for sore
throats.

But that's not the way it works. You take the hits from all sides, just like
the rest of us.

That would be assuming that he actually served, which is highly
doubtful.....

Besides, there's literally millions who served the military--it's just that
the overwhelming majority ( of us ) don't feel a need to always be calling
attention to it.

IOW, true heros don't brag.

You are a nicer man than you let on, Ed.

But if a person did that favor for me, I'd be really upset with them.

VA health care is the pits.

Sometimes I think I'd be better off pulling a Gunner deal...

So is rolling the dice and hoping the hospital that's doing your operation
doesn't punt you off to *another* hospital that's taking charity cases. That
happens, Richard.

>
> Sometimes I think I'd be better off pulling a Gunner deal...

The best deal is to take advantage of the numerous help programs that will
get you health coverage. They often have inconvenient cutoffs, but you must
track them down first, IMO, before throwing yourself on the mercy of the
charity system. And before that, you check out Medicaid (CA has a different
name for their Medicaid system, IIRC). When Gunner had his first stents, and
probably when he had his big heart attack, there still were several such
programs available to low-income people in California. Right now...who
knows?

But the smart thing is to go with the sure bet first. For Gunner, if he
actually did serve, that's the VA -- even if he served under an assumed
name. Then you look for something better.

But no responsible, working adult should just punt without exploring all of
the possibilities. We know that he didn't even take the first step, which is
to get his records corrected at the VA. He's said that he didn't.

No he's not. He sucked up around $300,000 worth of it.

> He makes his own
> decisions on when and where he will accept the help he has earned.

What he "earned" is not his decision to make. What he "earned" is free care
via the VA. But he decided to go on the taxpayer's teat because he was too
lazy, or whatever, to go through the business of correcting his military
record.

That assumes he actually has one, of course. I wouldn't be skeptical except
that not pursuing the VA benefits after he's already had stents once is just
too dumb and irresponsible even for Gunner.

> I

Neither do I. But if I was sucking up taxpayer dollars instead of partaking
of a system that was set up for people like me, I wouldn't be surprised if
those taxpayers were pissed at my sloppy, irresponsible behavior.

Please provide proof that you gave Gunner $300,000 of your own money.
I don't doubt your kindness, I believe you are exagerating your
generosity a bit. We can ask Gunner about how much you actually gave

He earned our support. The money comes from the same place, so no harm
is done. Besides, the VA is too underfunded to provide the care that
our heroes need, so no harm is done. If we followed your analogy, then
people with bus passes could never take a cab.

There's no harm done. Gunner got the care he needed and everything has
been paid for. It all worked itself out in the end and we are lucky to
still have him around. It's called ObamaCare and I'm surprised you
haven't heard of it since you voted for its inventor.

First, as I said, you're gullible. Second, you have no idea what you're
talking about. Deadbeats cost all of us much more than the medical costs
involved if they have some kind of insurance. Third, it isn't "the same
place." It's three levels of government in California, plus the hospital,
which raises all of our rates to cover the deadbeats.

The total bill was humm....The hospital that did the actual bypass
charged $185k,including the attempted angiolplasty, canceled it after
being advised I had had a stroke after their lack of followup care..and
the hospital I went to for the stroke, offered to settle for $52k, after
presenting the bill to me for $132k This bill was for 3 shots, 1 bag
of IV solution, and 5 days in bed, only being visited by a doctor 3
times in total.

So ultimately..San Bernadino Co. took a lein on my homestead for $132k
which is worth, in this market..about 1/2 of that. And only collectible
if I sell. Which I have no interest in doing anytime soon.

How else is he going to keep up the fiction that he doesn't read our posts?
He slipped up at least twice on that, so this is his fallback.

Nothing new about that. But at least now he's a lot less of a burden
because instead of just showing up at the emergency room with chest
pains he's covered under Obama care. It's a lot less money than it used
to be so at least we have something to be happy about.

As a California resident I know for a fact that if you are poor you can
sign up for state medical care. In my county it's called the County
Medical Services Plan or CMSP and it provides pretty darn good medical
care for the poor. I'm sure that they have something similar in his
county too. He's just too dumb or lazy to look into it.

The other thing is that my father goes to the VA all the time and gets
all kinds of health care benefits. He just got free shoes for diabetics,
he also got free hearing aids, and they do periodic health care for him
too. One of the reasons he gets so much from the VA is because of his
medals, two purple hearts. Unbeknownst to me if you are a vet with
medals you get extras. If Gummer had any medals for his Audie Murphy
like service he would get special treatment too. Funny that he gets
nothing from the VA. Maybe they know something we only suspect, that
Gummer is a liar. Is that possible?

Of course. He just loves to provoke and antagonize. Under one of his various
nyms, he's admitted as much in the past. Then, hiding behind another nym,
he'll call you a liar for saying so -- just like he did regarding Gunner's
own claims about how much his medical bills are.

Truth means nothing to him.

I usually don't. But he's such a smoke-blower that he's always vulnerable.
When he combines that with attacks on others, it's worth a shot. Defending

If Hack's daddy is as poor as he claims, then I'm sure Hack, er I mean
LOON, is certainly helping out with large sums of money he makes at
his paralegal job, and from his investments that must be booming now,
courtesy of Obama's leadership.

Gummer has no legal worries about his threats. For a threat to be taken
as serious the person making the threat has to have the means to carry
it out. For example, if a guy in a wheelchair has paralyzed legs and he
says to someone, I'm going to kick the shit out of you that wouldn't be
considered a real threat because he can't kick anyone. Gummer is the
same way. He's just a wimp and a punk these days. I doubt he could carry
out a decent attack on a seventh grade girl let alone a grown man. So
Gummer's safe from the law. He's nothing but a harmless old coot at this
point.

Who said my daddy is poor? He's far from it. But he's just like you.
He's a right winger, so even though he's got plenty of money he is still
taking everything he can from the VA. The hearing aids are a perfect
example. He can't hear worth shit but he was too cheap to buy his own
hearing aids. When he found out the VA would provide them for him for
free guess what he did? You got it. He did what any red blooded right
winger would do. He marched right down to the VA and got those free
hearing aids. Of course, they were only free to him. They cost the
taxpayers about 5 grand. So you see, my father is just like the rest of
you right wingers, he's a cheapskate and a hypocrite. But unlike you
he's not poor. More like rich, which is all the better for me. Hey, you
still have to work for a living, boy?

If your dadyy is a right winger, then I'm proud to know that I played
a part in him being able to get a hearing aid. I don't even care if
he's gay. He should get one for his other ear too.

You should be happy to know he has them for both ears but he doesn't
like them so he doesn't use them very much. But since they cost him
nothing what does it matter? You don't mind paying for them anyway. He's
also still married to my mom and that's over 55 years and they had three
kids, so for your information, that is what is called straight. It's
your lifestyle that we call gay.

The overwhelming majority of his medical costs apparently were "written
off"....IE the hospital and so on ate it...

--In other words, everybody else has to pay more for health care because of
deadbeats like him...he can pretend like he's not indebted to society but by
and large he's only fooling himself and a handful of other clueless
imbeciles.

What is particularily loathesome is how he spits in the faces of the same
people who unselfishly saved his life through kindness, compassion and
charity.

Don't worry about him. In another post, he said his "lawyers" said he had a
sure winner if he would bring a $5 million lawsuit for a misdiagnosis. Then
the hospital offered to drop their charges because they failed to follow up
on his heart attack, and he had a stroke. Misdiagnosis, failure to follow
up -- the medical community is just giving Gunner a terrible time. <g>

But he has a lien against him for the full amount, anyway. It sounds like he
ought to be able to sue his lawyers. That ought to recover all of his costs
and buy him one heck of a cool new pickup truck. d8-)

It was handy. You want the same data from a "regular" source?

You do know it was simply a copy from another source...right?
