What I would like to do is make cargo netting for my kids to climb on.

Can anyone tell me were to find the splicing technique for heavy rope
netting? I have seen it called "Lock Tuc" on
http://www.usnetting.com/HTML/cargo.html.

the suggested solution is not very stable
the connections in the net you show, can hardly be called 'splices'
each rope seem to be tucked straight through the crossing rope
the connections will slip and deform the net
tuck one rope through the other, and then the other through the first
one might improve it
(but it won't work easy in heavy rope)

In heavy rope I would try seizings at each crossing

and I found this:
"Have you seen this thread about cargo nets, earlier posted in this
group? (If the link doesn't work, try searching Google Groups for
Cargo Nets, under rec.crafts.knots)"

knotting on internet,
