Membership is open to all persons involved in the study of beads, especially
archaeologists, ethnologists, and museologists, as well as collectors.
There are four levels of membership: Individual($15 US, $20 foreign),
Sustaining, Patron, and Benefactor. All levels receive the same publications
and benefits. The society publishes a biannual newsletter, The Bead Forum;

The Lampworker's Group is a study group of the Bead Society of Greater
Washington. Members share information about working glass in front of a
torch to make beads. They meet 3-4 times per year at each others' studios
and sponsor visiting lampworkers and special workshops.

Polymer Clay Groups:
We have about 100 members, and meet 5-6 times a year at Fashion Institute
of Technology (FIT) W. 27th Street between 7th and 8th Aves. There is also
a newsletter. Our meetings feature national and local polymer artists and
