Problems.
1. Piping seemed not to 'fix' to the glass too well.
2. The paints went on but subsequent 'working' seemed to
pull off the previously applied paint (both wet and dried)
3. The paints seemed not to become waterproof after drying.
Are these problems a result of using a beginners kit?
Would she get better result from professional materials?
(A bit obvious really!)
How could I ensure that the next time she has a go, things
would turn out better?
I will monitor this newsgroup for any thoughts you may be good
enough to have or perhaps you might like to mail me direct.
Many thanks Simon.
What you have there is a toy glass painting outfit, and should not be
taken too seriously. You can try "professional" outfits, available in
the likes of B&Q, or Homebase. You should be aware that unless the
"paints" are fired onto the glass, the colour will not be permanent. No
matter what the claims on the box.
If you're interested in making windows, panels or lamps, you should
request our catalogue..56 pages packed with everything you'd need (except
toy painting outfits) & kilns.
