Any galleries or other locations of interest to a glassaholic?

I hope this gets posted before you travel. Google is soooooo crappy! I
can't even see the original post!
Anyway, I live in St. Louis - University City to be exact - and the
Glass Workbench is indeed a good place to shop for stained glass
supplies. I was just there last weekend. Their prices for tools are
about like Delphi Glass'. I didn't really compare glass prices. But I
did look specifically for flameworking supplies and they didn't have
any. I believe they have some fusing supplies, though,
The only local flamework supplier I know of (and I am probably
woefully ignorant) is an instructor at the Craft Alliance in
University City. She apparently has her own studio at home and sells
flameworking supplies. I've never met her, but I've taken classes at
the Craft Alliance and I have a punch card for studio time there as
well. (A birthday gift I haven't used yet! I'm excited about it,
though! Real oxy/propane work!) Stop by the Craft Alliance for a glass
fix. Maybe you can contact the instructor there.
If you make it to the Craft Alliance, there is also a gallery just
down the street called Compenere. (Spelling? You'd think I'd know, I
LIVE there!)
There is also a stained glass studio and maybe supplier in the Central
West End called Art Glass Unlimited. And there's a stained glass
studio in the Soulard area called Mithra.
I am very sad that The City Museum no longer has their hot glass
studio on display. They *used* to have a furnace and glass blowing
demos and whatnot. Oh well! (Go to The City Museum anyway, it's way
fun!)
Bev - I should be on the tourism board
